Kwantlen Park’s Parent Advisory Council meets every month to support students’ learning. KPPAC’s main responsibilities are the disbursement of Direct-Access funds, maintaining the PAC scholarship fund and electing three parents to sit on the School Planning Council. Kwantlen Park PAC assists the school’s teams, band, dry-grad and other ad hoc committees through the provincial Gaming Fund.

Using the guidelines set forth by the BC Gaming Commission and taking into account staff’s input KPSPAC decides how these funds will be disbursed. Included in the 2006/07 allocation, KPSPAC has provided funds for school team uniforms, Yukon Dan Gold panning presentations, a Grade 12 Geology trip to the interior of BC, a year-end adventure experience for Inter-A students, the fabulous Dry After-Grad event aboard the Harbour Princess and $5,000 to provide scholarships to deserving graduating students.
